After taking a crash
course in 35-mm photography nearly 14 years ago, LaVerne was
immediately attracted to this creative medium. Eight years ago she
decided to learn more by joining the Kendall Camera Club, an amateur
organization in Miami, Florida. She served as the club's president for
a period of two years.

of experience in media and public relations with a large fire-rescue
department. In this capacity, she is involved in the documentation of
events and on-scene activites.
