Very pleased with our first so called "Big" race, Bob Johnson Memorial, Jack set fast time, just a half of second off of the multis's and A cars. Ran hard in the feature until yellow came out around lap 18 , had a great restart, but around lap 34, you could see a little bit of fatigue sitting in on Jack. Jack is going to need some weight training, if he is going to be a contender in these big races. All in all though, Jack looks great ! we had no idea he would do so well so fast, but we didn't expect it in the Jr's either his first year. Sunday's weekly race was good, Jack started 7th in a field of 9 cars in the heat race, made it to the front in about 4 laps, probably some of the best racing we have seen this year from Jack. The Feature wasn't as good, even though he still finished 2nd, actually 3rd as the first place car was disqualified for being underweight. Jack played follow the leader for tooooo long, needed to use the cushion, and PASS !!! Oh, well he has lots to learn, and we are very pleased with all of his accomplishments so far.
